The course lasted three years and he met new life-long friends and his current partner. He was awarded both the Student of the Year and the CJ Mitchelmore Award for Best Plant Knowledge.
From 2007 to 2012 Morgan worked for a well-known landscape contractors as a Landscape Operative, gaining vital on-site experience with a mixed bag of works.
He looks back on this as a very enjoyable time of his life.
From there he worked in another enjoyable role – a chargehand position within public sector ground works. He undertook a short course in business studyies at the Open University and other short courses at Reaseheath College, Nantwich.
Morgan set his sights on travelling around Australia, specifically up the Gold Coast, before returning back to the UK, selling his beloved black Honda Civic and setting up his own business in the summer of 2013 – UK Landscape Services, now M Landscape UK Contractors Ltd Chester.
He is very grateful to the customers and staff who have been with the business, in some cases right from day one.
He recalls that back then we were the only grounds maintenance specialist company in the area who made the switch to battery operated machinery. It was a high outlay at the time, but it cemented the position as an environmentally conscious business that does things the right way with high customer service – a quality that continues to this day.
The company continues to move forward – a move to a new premises and yard is in the pipeline and AI has been implemented into staff training and site tasks, although our focus will always be supporting local, physical human beings! This is a genuine, professional business that takes responsibility with fully trained staff with RAMS accreditation and Love Local!
